Early Works Underway On Doreen’s Newest School

Site preparation works have started on Yarrambat Park Primary School in Doreen ahead of its opening for local students in the 2019 school year thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

State Member for Yan Yean, Danielle Green today announced the early works had now started to get the site ready ahead of construction starting in February.

The new school was designed in consultation with local residents, who got the opportunity to have their say during community engagement held during the design process.

The Yarrambat Park Primary School is one of six new growth area schools being delivered across Melbourne as part of a multi-school tender with Kane Constructions, which will build Truganina East P-9; Sanctuary Lakes South P-9 (Point Cook); Burnside Primary; Yarrambat Park Primary (Doreen); Aitkin Hill Primary (Craigieburn); and Pakenham North East Primary.

The Labor Government is investing more than $2.5 billion to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.

This school building boom has delivered more than 1,200 school upgrades and 56 new school projects across the state, supporting almost 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
