FUTURE WALLAN SPORTS AND AQUATIC CENTRE UNDER WAY

The Wallan Sports and Aquatic Centre is a step closer thanks to Andrews Labor Government funding.

Labor State Member for Yan Yean, Danielle Green, and Upper House Member for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes, today announced funding of $150,000 towards the development of a masterplan for a future Wallan Sports and Aquatic Centre.

Mitchell Shire Council will undertake the masterplan works, to determine the appropriate site, size and features of the facility that best suits the growing community.

The funding will be provided through the Andrews Labor Government’s 2018/19 State Budget.

Ms Green and Ms Symes said following the massive success and popularity of the Wallan Community Bank Adventure Playground, it made sense to now plan for a sports and aquatic centre that the residents of Mitchell Shire can all utilise.
