The range of services offered at the community hospital will be tailored to our local community, with a strong focus on better integrating acute and community health and human services under one roof.
Community hospitals will offer services such as day surgery, renal dialysis, specialist appointments, allied health including physiotherapy and speech pathology, after-hours health care with access to pathology and imaging, community mental health, women’s and children’s health and chronic disease management.
Alcohol and drug services and public dental are also highly likely to be included in the Whittlesea hospital given the needs of the local community.
The Whittlesea community hospital will all be complete by 2024.
