Wallan Wins with New Community projects
The Andrews Government committed to new Sports and Community Infrastructure Funds, particularly for growing regions. We are rolling out new and improved facilities across the north and we are starting with new investment in Wallan. There will be further rounds of funding for communities going forward. We are working with Mitchell Shire to rejuvenate the Wallan town centre. The $3 million project is due to begin in 2016 with design works initiated. The project will improve street amenity, pedestrian connections and beautify the Wallan town-ship.
Over $2 million has been allocated for the new Wallan Integrated Community Learning Facility, to be built at the existing Wallan Primary School including space for new childhood services and outside play areas. $950,000 is for improvements to Hadfield Park, including a new wet-dry play space and splash pad.
