YAN YEAN YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL

Applications are now open for the 2019-2020 Yan Yean Youth Advisory Council.

Young people across the community, aged 15-24, are invited to nominate for the voluntary council.

State Labor Member for Yan Yean Danielle Green will chair the council, which will meet bi-monthly.

The council provides young people in the Yan Yean electorate with a unique leadership role within or community. Participants will be given the opportunity to explore and share their opinions and ideas, while actively engaging with the decision-making process to represent the interest of their peers.

How can I apply for the Youth Advisory Council?

There are four simple questions to answer in the application for the Yan Yean Youth Advisory Council. Applicants can answer them in writing or via a video.

  1. What do you like about living in the Yan Yean electorate?
  2. What issues are most important to you, and why?
  3. Why do you want to be a part of the Yan Yean Youth Advisory Council?
  4. As a member of the Youth Advisory Council, what do you think could be improved for the community?
