ROAD SAFETY GRANTS FOR SPORTS CLUBS

The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) has announced that applications are now open for its Club Rewards program.

All AFL Victoria aligned clubs across regional metropolitan leagues can take part and earn up to $10,000 in funding by promoting road safety to their communities.

The program aims to support clubs that suffered from the cancellation of the 2020 season, while helping to keep Victorians safe on the roads.

Last year 126 people died on regional Victoria roads, compared to 85 lives lost in city areas.

Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, Vicki Ward said “too many of our clubs are affected by deaths on the road.

“67 people have died on Victorian roads already this year, and that’s 67 too many. Everyone deserves to make it home safely when they go out on the roads.”

Submissions close 31 July 2021. Fore more information and the eligibility criteria, please visit:
